GymNation
Loren Holland is the Founder and CEO of GymNation, the UAE’s leading gym chain, that is expanding rapidly throughout the GCC.
GymNation was launched in 2017, with a mission to become The People’s Gym and an ambition to make improving your health and wellbeing by going to the gym less intimidating, more affordable, accessible, and fun for everyone in the region.
The first GymNation facility opened in Al Quoz, Dubai, and the brand has since expanded to 12 locations across the UAE, boasting close to 75,000 members with 9 more locations set to open across the UAE and KSA by the end of 2024.
Under his leadership, GymNation has been recognised as The Best Gym in the UAE for two consecutive years by Virgin Radio's The Kris Fade Show and has amassed over 60,000 five-star Google reviews.
In November 2023, Holland, along with co-founders Frank Afeaki and Anthony Martland, completed a management buyout, regaining majority control of the company. This move, supported by Tricap Investments and Ruya Partners, is set to further accelerate GymNation's expansion across the GCC, with plans to become the GCC’s leading gym chain with new locations set to open across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
